Marshall V-R70P-HDA and s-video???

Is there an "appropriate" way to connect / monitor / focus with an external HD monitor? I'm borrowing the Marshall V-R70P-HDA and am running an S-video out and in to the monitor ... but it looks terrible. I can focus better using the flip out screen. So I'm wondering if I'm getting a bad signal (low rez?) going to the monitor?

Any ideas?

You should be using the component cables to connect to it.

use component and set your hvx to output 1080i (even if you're shooting 720p)

Yup, make sure the output is 1080, not 720. You can see the resolution difference very clearly on the Marshall. Also get a hood for it too. Its a pain to see in sun/daylight.
