PUSH - Directed by Matt Sconce

Matt, why don't you offload some of that insane rendering to a render farm? We're using TitanRENDER (http://www.rendertitan.com) and have been really happy. They're cheap and they have a huge pipe so that if you've got a decent connection you're all set. They've got a huge bank of 64-bit 8-cores that will shred anything you can send 'em.

I'd hate to see you miss the festival deadline simply because of a render delay.

thanks guys. I think we will make it on this one... but I will definitely use this source on future stuff.

AAAAARRRRGGGG!! Compression is once again rearing its ugly head. Now My audio is not synching with my video! The Madness never ends...

I am still experiencing technical difficulties, but I believe in the words of a small green puppet dude...."Do or do not, there is no try..." I will fix these issues and tonight.....yes tonight... I will finish PUSH...Mwah hah ha ha ha *lightning flash and peal of thunder*

Besides....if I didn't, I would have to throw down against Mark Harris, and after Jack Daniel Stanley's last movie starring him, I do not think I am up to the challenge!

Uuuuuse the Force, Matt... Use the Force! :kali:

When did Jedi start packing guns?

Granted seeing Yoda firing a machine gun would be awesome.

The force is strong in this one.......

Nice pic. The cat even has that "I know everything" staring into the camera down very well.

Matt quick question, I just noticed you're working in Premiere but I was curious how you managed the audio?
I work on 2.0 and not being able to export the cuts has always been a problem for me. How did you work around it? Or did you just do everything within premiere?

The short answer...kept good records, and had a kickin sound guy.

The long answer: I cut in After Effects CS3 (Due to the fact I had tiffs sequences completely rendered that were to high in bit rate for premiere...I should have exported PSD or something) I kept the exact take of the shots I cut, and then with my sound guy...Mike Aro, I told him what take it was and he went and found the take (recorded into his laptop studio on set) and synched them into an audio track.

You are mistaken... That isn't a'gun... it is a light saber with a handle that emits its beam from the tip...:cheesy: If you had used the force, and your blast shield, you would have known that... Well, back to picking up rocks, Yoda, R2D2, and my X-Wing fighter while standing on my head...

Yoda gets gnarly! :kali:"yodayodayodayodayodayodayodayodayoda!"

Tired of the same old midichlorians, Yoda uses...
The Hyperactive Force!

I have been rendering out Mark's Finished and composited effects shots. It is 5:18 am and I have been working all night. I am rendering the last scene (41 frames out of 2145) finished at the moment. After that, I take the files back to my timeline, make sure they fit, tweak sound to match new effects and then...RENDER final versions.....

Congrats! I am also nearly finished today. Will upload my first version and maybe tweak the audio a little bit till the end of the deadline :)

Godspeed :) Looking forward to your entry!
