one more thing... this isn't anything major, but I noticed that the very first shot of the two fighting, and the last one with the sun blacking them out... are the same sequence of moves. Not sure if anyone cares or will notice, but it caught my eye.

lol you're right. It's looks close to Chi Sao but it wasn't enough for me to tell

The quality of your footage is very good but the trailer didn't stimulate an interest in me to want to watch the feature. It looked more like an introduction to the actors. Put a little tease into it and you'll have it.

Thats almost exactly what i was going to say. I understand the movie is called persuit and theres people running (makes sense) but i just didnt cling to the concept because i didnt really know WHAT it was about. (other than an obvious persuit)

Fight scenes look cool.

Nice visuals. You need either a voice over or super the words on the screen -
A guy is running from three men, we see that, what we don't know is that
they are bounty hunters or why they are chasing the lead.

Mistaken Identity? Tell us.

Charli

there wasn't much to "The Crow" teaser and heck if anyone saw "snakes on planes"...it's all text and then people running around the plane, a few snakes, and then samuel jackson.

if hollywood can get away with it, i don't see why you can't.

what i think is funny is that you explain what it's about at the top of this thread and then everybody posts "i don't get it"

i'm kidding people..lighten up. i know taken as a whole you're judging on what the clip represents in it's own context. geez.

however do listen to the suggestions because a little text, music, and a narrator/voice-over can build a trailer when you do make it.

Great teaser, despite the fact that the lead looks like his in danger of overacting, the locations, cast ( the lead and black dude) and style seemed somewhat 'prison breakish,' especially leading upto the second season of prison break where there on the run in a similar setting as seen in the season finale, it was well shot and cut.
I didnt seem to have an issue with the lack of plot in this teaser as im a sucker for action flicks which does really require one, and was just happy to an action short flick being shot in this style with this camera. Although i did notice in the trailer that he was holding a briefcase which would indicate that theyre obviously after him for something he has, and you did mention he woke up in the forest which could possibly mean he lost his memory and remembers more as the story unfolds, it may turn out that the tables turn and that he remembers that hes the bad guy and the prof. killers are hired he bring him down... the possibilities are not endless but many, hence the meaning of the word teaser. No this was a good teaser,
well done

Thank you. As I am open to suggestions and have asked for them many times in this thread, Green Ranger has still proved that if you pay attention to the details, there is more to this teaser than just people running.

I guess it does look a little like prison break, since they are around a prison and they are running outside. But any shot of someone running outside could be compared to some other project where someone runs, outside, although this project has had no influence from prison break. Like I said in a previous post, this short film was actually a side project of another feature, and the chase concept was the only thing we could think of to easially capture all 50 acres of land before we lost it. The N.C.D.O.T. (Department of Transportation) owns this old prison which was built sometime in the 1940s time period, and they are demolishing it in the upcoming months, and because of this we couldnt finish our feature, but we decided to do Pursuit on our last week there, sort of for historical purposes.

Im glad that someone pays attention to the details - Im suprised no one before you has brought up the briefcase idea, and you are closer than anyone else on figuring out the storyline. But like we keep saying, this is just a teaser, and more of the story will be included in the trailer. But thank you Green Ranger for the kind words, and good job on paying attention to the details.

i echo everyone in saying the visuals look great. :( I'm so sad, I want my DVX back!!!! ahhhhh!!!

it got damaged while filming a breakdancing event but the only thing that broke was my camera...Well, the part was backordered but it should be available soon.

too bad you are losing that great location. seems likea great place.

*i say "great" too much

I think this teaser DOES tell you what the short is about. It's about running. Run away. Just run. Run and then fight in the sunset for a bit all Borne Identity style and then run some more. Run, jump, hide, fight, run, surprise! That's the story. Love it or Leave it, that's the story and I got that from the teaser. If that's NOT the story, then the teaser didn't do it's job cause that's what you get out of it.

why do you waste time showing names of actors that nobody has ever heard of?
I would lose that and just go with the rest of the Trailer. Other then the close ups of Nobody actors it was nice

wow skrott...keep the gloves up that was below the belt. :) glad to know you care about your actors. i kid, i kid.

That is some fancy looking video. I thought it was awesome. For some reason, I really enjoyed the half second of the guy landing infront of the camera with his feet and bottom legs in the shot. It was in the begining, and the cut to it was real fast. I am not sure why I liked that one little shot so much, but I watched it a few times.

Its an empty hand combo from kali/silat.

I see I know some people that do silat.

I do echo the earlier comments about the words being on there too long , but not the nobody part.

You saying the actors names are on screen too long?

it was good filming but the story is what must compel viewership. I like you story plot , but the trailer didnt reveal that totally imo.Best shot was the guy jumpin to the ground, great angles and 3d feel. worst shot was the guy that just turned and looked into the cam . fights action was too slow to be believable imo. good moves but they lacked real speed . you are good with a camera though
