T2i picture style framegrabs (superflat, marvelcine, neutral)

So we travelled back in time, and handed Coppolla and Gordon Willis a T2i/550D with superflat setting.

Needless to say, Marlon Brando was not happy with the custum curve.

Ok,

How about something totally different:

Frame grab, not still.

This image is 100% untouched. No color correction or anything else. The skaters are moving around 15mph. The light levels on the floor are about 2.5FC. I am panning with the skaters.

For those unaware of the kind of light levels we're talking about, light a birthday candle. Have someone hold it about arm's length away. The light level on their face is about the light level this was taken in. You couldn't adequately read a piece of paper in the light on this floor.

It was a JPG still, not a RAW. But for grins, I'll try to replicate it this weekend with with video.

yeh first thing I noticed was those highlights and i was wondering how that shift
was possible with a frame grab!

I can't wait till we all move past h264 as a capture codec.
I've hit my limits with DSLR's

Source was Canon HDSLR

ahh that explains it, I don't think you can repeat those results with a frame grab

Ok, so here is a shot I did today.
