I think you are an optimist, this whole full-frame portable video camera idea may become a tremendous flop.
Unless Panasonic makes some future commitments to MFT, and not just trying to sell more mark II lenses, the first company who will provide a better MFT camera with IBIS, raw and USB-c recording capability will take it all away from them.
Then why stop there, who cares about full or even medium frame, let's get a large format "portable" video camera, must be even better.....No chance...it actually would have happened sooner but wasn't possible (for video...meaning to provide the kind of specs people expect for the prices that they do).

Wait till you have to handheld this with a decent range full frame zoom lens for a few hours.....A S1H, which isn't terribly bigger than a GH5/S could have everything you're asking for with a MFT mount (if Panasonic chose to sell it with one).
But who would fork out $4000+ for that?As mentioned, if the S1H had a MFT mount then you'd use the same MFT lens you're using with the GH5.

Of course, I am guesstimating. But I was in the electronic retail for a long time and everything I read about the photo-video retail seems to comply with what I recall from my years in the business. It sounds like you are guessing with your Panasonic/Sony/Canon profit margin calculation but even if you are right I don't see how those numbers would help you establish BMD's margins. ...

Sure this is for the S1 camera, but I would expect the S1H to perform the same way once it's firmware is brought up to speed.
C-AF Comparison : Sony A7III vs Panasonic S1
Not in English, but you can see what's going on. Start at the 2:56 mark...
I know you most likely think this is good - and thank you for posting it, truly - but this an absolutely PERFECT example of why the Panasonic AF is inferior.
I'd like to see these static tests...and they would have to be 1-2-3 minutes long as if it were a soundbite from an interview.
