I think Joe meant the h.265 choice was meant for internal processing bandwidth, not speed.

Yeah, not speed in terms of encoder speed, but in terms of total throughput.I think Joe meant the h.265 choice was meant for internal processing bandwidth, not speed.
Argh, that's a shame if it makes it into production firmware with that lag, since it effectively means you can't operate from an external monitor properly.First possible indication of the hdmi lag, and it still looks as bad as the GH4. Around 2:35 on this video, in the corner of the frame, someone starts playing with a GH5 connected to a monitor, possibly an Atomos Shogun. When he pans sharply, you can see the significant delay--

HDMI standards will likely never support an odd format like that
which supports a range of Higher Video Resolutions and refresh rates including 8K60 and 4K120, Dynamic HDR and increased bandwidth with a new 48G cable
Well, he is using some really fast lenses + the Speedbooster. Get one of those Zeiss .7 that Kubrick bought for "Barry Lyndon" or Mitakon .95 and the low light performance will be slightly better than with a 3.5-5.6 kit lens.Looks awesome. High ISO is very impressive indeed. Shocked by how clean 6400 is. Live event, weddings, and documentaries will never be the same. This camera is going to kill it for that kind of work with its feature set.

Mitakon 25mm .95 MFT is $369 at Adorama (not a bad deal, really)Nothing exotic. They are f/1.4 lenses that become f/1.0 lenses with the SpeedBooster. ( Sigma ART lenses are really nice glass )
Yes and no. Highlights and/or shade may hide the noise better than the midtones, so a high ISO shot at bright daytime is likely to have less visible noise than the same ISO shot during the low light hours. The fast lenses have nothing to do with the ISO 6400 quality. They have everything to do with how low the light can be when you shoot with ISO 6400.
Speed booster test at up ISO 6400. Looks amazing,,
