So as I originally stated, yes, after just confirming, ISO limit does work in P, S or A modes. However for the life of me I can't find the setting for minimum shutter speed. I seem to recall I changed it to 1/60th and even in very low light it sticks. So my assumption (don't yell at me Vesku for 'assuming') that it too does work in video mode.

Thanks for checking. Can I ask do you mean photo modes in dial PASM or Creative video modes via video menu PASM?
For me ISO limit does not work in A. Shutter is locked in and ISO limit does work in videoM mode.
Curious what we might have set different so that yours is working in A?

Well, I find that in A,S,M creative video modes, the ISO limit can be set to as high as 12,800. But with "Auto Limit" (the click past 6400 limit) the ceiling is 6400.
But minimum shutter speed setting is a stills-only feature, and is ORDINARILY limited to 1/30 sec for 30-60fps, and 1/25 for 24fps video. I say ordinarily, because I discovered with the GH3 years ago purely by serendipity, that in creative video M mode, and with focus lever in MF position, SS may be selected all the way down to 1/2 sec. - and like the GH4, the GH5 retains this intended or unintended ability. Interesting effects, as with swirling dancers, and for a static night shot, a 4-stop light gain!

P, A, S, M via the creative video/menu mode on dial. I don't use the photo modes on the dial, only the creative video and the Custom (C1, C2, C3) modes on the dial.
So you can set GH5 upper auto iso limit for example iso1600 when using S video mode. Great! No more very noise video unintended.
It would be great to limit for example shutter speed to 1/100s when using A video mode. This for better post stabilisation.
Pete, perhaps it's that same confusion Vesku & I were discussing? I'm talking about the P, S & A modes within the Creative Video mode on the dial. Using those modes I have my 3200 ISO limit stick.
Thanks Ken7, Peter and Vesku for bearing with me here. Terminology is the issue here. I hadn't ever looked at the manual for what Creative Video Mode was. I always just called that VideoM as I never saw you could change it between P, S, A, or M from the screen. Always thought that was the PSAM on the dial. LOL !!!
All of those modes will limit ISO, but you have to use S in order to lock in shutter speed as Peter said. It is not limited and auto in A.

If you shoot video with any of the mode dial PASM (photo modes) using red video button, the video exposure is always fully automatic (P+auto iso).
Finally got mine, the Leica 12-60 GH5 combo are still only trickling out in Europe. Shot my first quick few clips with it just now, using the 12-60 and ... HOLY SH!T ! They've totally hit it out of the ball park, everything !! .... colour, resolution, EVF, layout, IBIS, noise, not to mention that you can now push the crap out of the files. I think I'll be cancelling my Shogun Inferno order, just more stuff to get in the way and lug around, this cam is an absolute BEAST !! The only one big drawback I've found ... NO MORE EXCUSES !

Which 12-60 is it? The 3.5-5.6 or the 2.8-4?
Finally got mine, the Leica 12-60 GH5 combo are still only trickling out in Europe. Shot my first quick few clips with it just now, using the 12-60 and ... HOLY SH!T ! They've totally hit it out of the ball park, everything !! .... colour, resolution, EVF, layout, IBIS, noise, not to mention that you can now push the crap out of the files. If you are talking about the gh5, adorama has it in stock , and you might try hot rod cameras, that's where I purchased mine about 2 weeks ago, they had stock when most places were out of stock.

This is the kit I am looking to purchase. How is the lens for everyday shooting as well as the stabilization? I think I will go that route instead of the 12-35 but I'm not sure yet.
