Lets announce a camera that "WE" aren't even sure about. Still working on the sensor. No mention of AF at all? Less than $7500. No specific release date? Fantastic specs in "theory". Been thinking about the camera for TWO years and we announce a mock up today? They basically brought out a Lego mock up and gave you a "ROAD MAP" of hopes. Sad.....

They have no idea. Canon thinks they're the only camera maker in the world.
 
But hey...You won't have high shipping bills because you can fit it in a backpack! That is, if you don't struggle to get it out of the backpack like "Taco" did. He called him Taco!
 
Where's the footage? Disappointing really... Panasonic are making too much of a fuss about this camera - no footage, no production model... specs are one thing, but this won't be ready by next NAB .... plus 8000 is a bit much. AF - if it has any at all, wont be half as good as the DPAF , but the 10bit 422 on board keeps it above others.... really hoping the 240fps in 2K is not a crop, but my gut tells me it probably is...

That presentation was a bit of a letdown really... footage and at least a pre-pro model would be so much better... IBC 2017 it is then....

One little misstep and the others will suffer.

Sony's probably packing boxes with their new camera and sending to retailers next week.

Mitch said they are still developing the sensor specs and tuning so he didn't quote ISO, or dynamic range, other than to say it will have dual ISO like the Varicams and that it will have Varicam colors. A good guess would be 13 stops but could be more?
 
Trying to compare this to Canon or Sony is pointless for the simple reason that we don't have the full specs or any footage. It's a bit of vaporware so far. Hoping for the best, of course.

They said "under" 8000. They didn't say how far under.

Like I tried to tell all of you -- there are some things that will not be unveiled yet. Such as the Dual ISO sensitivity. The camera is about five months away from shipping. More will be known closer to the time when you can buy it.
