Sony have addressed this and panny would need to too.
Hence the prevalence of low-midrange 1" format cameras with fixed servo zooms. It is much cheaper to build in a good quality matched compensated low cost zoom than to build an interchangeable mount zoom with comparable performance. Sony's new e-mount zooms are an effective intermediate cost approach for their larger format cameras. Apparently this is possible only due to the shallow back focus depth of e-mount.
