I've found a new picture of the Ag-160 and I must say, I've gone off it a bit.

That was used to film a timelapse of stone-henge being built.

I would have also have liked to see this as a shoulder mount. Or am I missing a different model that is?
(Following Quote from Barry_Green:No physical follow focus at all would be best. Use an electronic one instead, such as the FoXi, the VariZoom, or the Manfrotto. Physical follow focuses could work, but won't work better than an electronic one (it's an electronic lens after all). And electronic ones can do things that physical ones can't. And as far as pricing goes, you can't really buy a decent physical follow focus for anywhere near what you can get a good electronic one for.)
You really think so? I've tried most or all of the electronic options, and I find them pretty finicky at the focal distances I typically use (usually in the 40-80 foot range). Granted, that's not what one finds in film-style work, but I imagine one could still get more precision and confidence at closer ranges with a physical follow focus? I also find that either the Panny implementation or the focus controllers available seem to have some drift... it's very hard to hit a focus point based on markers. The Manfrotto's ability to kinda set min and max focal distances doesn't work reliably in my range either... it doesn't reliably hit anything beyond 65 feet or so (with that set as max focal distance, I can throw the focus wheel to max and get anything from 55 to 100 or so, in a very non-repeatable manner).
Is this mechanical linking of the lens still gonna be compatible with plug-in remotes? For the record, the 130/160/250 will have a mechanical lens on it so it will be able to use a physical follow focus... You can even use marks on your FF because it will be repeatable unlike the servo linked lenses of the past...
Your Iris, Zoom and Focus will all be on mechanical rings on the 21x (28mm) lens....
Is this mechanical linking of the lens still gonna be compatible with plug-in remotes?
Though I haven't seen them in person, I would imagine that the 130/160/250 will work similarly to the Sony HVR series... I actually thought long and hard about those cameras because of that, but in the end, codecs won out (HDV v. AVCHD)...
The major concern with my HMC-151 is the real long delay between pressing the start button and the time it start and even more pressing the same button and the time it stops. As there is only one button for those two opposite actions, you have to be pretty careful otherwise you get mixed up and can stop when you think you start take up! I several times missed interresting shots due to this. I hope it is improved on 130 & 160, but they do not mentionned it; it is mentionned instantaneous startup for the 250 , but nothing for the other two.
Has someone an idea?
