So in the last 100th of a second you were able to step through 10 frames!? What did you do this on?When the camera's shooting 1000 fps, 1/100 of a second becomes 10 frames. Clear enough.

LOL! I know, I watched it on a large screen via HD projector. I didn't see 10 individual frames from the last 100th of a second. :thumbup:They showed it on TV at least three times.
Cool. I've seen the last second in slow motion but it is over in a few frames. I would love to look at the last 100th of a second broken down. You can see it on the overhead angle. I'm sure they'll show it another dozen times today, especially close to his race tonight.
I didn't realize until you wrote it that Phelps is the reason the US is leading in the total medal category.
My 100th of a second vision is mortal... still it made me yell, and turn off that stinker of the Yankee game.

I know! He held up 3/4 of the way through the race and it still wasn't even close! Insane. I've never seen anything like it.Also, Usain Bolt was unbelievably fast. I wonder what his time might have been if he didn't ease up towards the end. Amazing.

I agree. I would even say he sprinted for less, 75 to 80 meters at the most. He clearly destroyed the competition. It would be like if Phelp's starting celebrating long before he reached the finish. Turning on his back and floating towards the wall with a big smile on his face, hands in the air. :thumbup:That was one of the most incredible things I've ever seen... Breaks the world record and out of 100 meters only sprinted like 85 of them.
