Office Mockumentary: GH1

Hey guys. We are making an internal video to introduce our customers to our training teams to a show in Vegas in June. We decided to put some humor into it (as much as we could get away with).

Used the GH1 and Fostex field recorder. Enjoy!

I AGREE

The acting was surprisingly good! Nice tone to the piece, I think you will entertain a lot of people with this!

Thanks Sean, much appreciated. I was actually surprised by the acting from my fellow co-workers. I think it helped that we had no script (intentionally) and just freeformed mostly.

great job tracey, definitely will get some laughs for sure.

tech note: the audio in the first clip before the jump cut is not synched. it' a hair off- it's not youtube streaming loading bar thing, I let it load and watched 3x. The rest of it seems fine.

love the delivery of this line - "....I think we want to go in a completely different direction.....(pregnant pause)...."

that was perfect! nice

I concur

The only thing though in my own opinion was that contract was too low or maybe you used Quicktime web compression to compress it for youtube.

low contracts are always a pain for me...as I am so tall- makes it impossible to sign:2vrolijk_08:

QT is known for that (lowering contrast)

Yup, it's hard to keep the original colors and contrast of what you see in your editing timeline once you go from that to an acceptable file for youtube.

if your editing codec is not in a quicktime wrapper and you experience some gamma shift or apparent loss of contrast and saturation when exporting to h.264, i suggest throwing a filter on the whole video, increasing contrast by up to 10% and dropping brightness -5 to -10%. this should get your final youtube render pretty close to the original look.
