Hi guys,
I am really excited about this lens. The built quality is superb, the focusing ring is superb, and it focuses from infinity down to 1:3.9! This will make for a killer combo on the GH2! Got it at 7pm ran out and shot a few clips, direct link w tech info here, let me know what you think

Hi Mike, were you get it from and what you pay for it? Camera quest?

Is that GH1 hacked?

thanks hhl and biginvegas. Not hacked anymore had problems and went back to standard firmware. Yup, Cameraquest

apart from wrong Wb what ISO setting did you use? I can get similar stuff with the pancake 20mm-1.7 but I have to go high on ISO, so I am interested in the gain on ISO mostly.

sodium-vapor lamps, timbook2 - there is no perfect filtration -going all the way down in color temp manually didn't look any better and of course that's very subjective, I like the way this looks. I use the 20mm and really like it, esp if af is required, focus pull manually is difficult, almost impossible, this was shot at ISO 320

how the hell did you get one of these Mike? that's what amazes me, they haven't gone on sale yet

there you go again mike, making waves

hey J Davis, they have but you had to pre-order, sold out right away

don't get me wrong, I'm not wanting to buy one.

so are you going to put ND's on it and open her up on some models, daylight?
edit:
if I'm not mistaken this is now the fastest wide ever, right?

@J Davis, exactly, to keep the background blurry, I will put my vari filter on it and shoot wide open or 1.4 or 2. it is the fastest normal lens right now(reg viewing angle, not a wide angle) the 0.95 is a bit deceiving, if you would want a comparable set up on the 5d you would use the Zeiss 50mm 2.0 , the 25mm .95 on m43 (1/2 chip size of 35mm chip) behaves like a 50mm 1.9 on a 35mm chip.

how many blades on the iris? 9? I'm guessing. look forward to what you do with it.
even though the angle of view matches a 50mm on 5d, the dof difference is still 1 stop isn't it?

I like what I see.

Thanks for posting this, I have been looking for test footage and you are one of the first to have some posted.

Please give us more if you have the time.

OK those lamps are impossible to WB so no wrong WB I agree :-) ISO 320 is excellent! I have to shoot a lot at night and although I preordered in Sept in Germany I have not heard back from them since Oct....
