Newegg.com???

Which means ICG/Electrograph is probably an authorized dealer, and they're reselling under the table to Newegg. Which means ICG might not be an authorized dealer much longer, if Panasonic takes a dim view of this practice.

And if Panasonic does yank the plug, there goes Newegg's supply. So what do they do? Where do they turn? Who knows, but if they start importing them from Canada or someplace, then all the people who think they're going to get rebates are going to find out that no, indeed, they won't qualify.

As long as Newegg can find a US authorized dealer to supply them, you should be safe. But if they don't, then you lose. And how do you know? How will you know? You might want to tell them that you're making it a condition of the sale that it must be an authorized unit or you get to return it...

It's official! But I need help.

It's official! But I need help.

It's official! Especially, after reading this thread, I'm saving my money, and I’m probably going to be buying a brand new DVX100b, from Newegg, by the end of the summer! Hopefully, I'll have it before my senior year of high school begins.

I have everything planned. I'm going to be working my butt off especially during school breaks; I'll probably be working with my father. I'll have to make time to do chores and clean my house and stuff. I'll take every opportunity to help my father out. Getting a summer job, and not spending all of the money I earn. Miscellaneous occasions when I receive money will be an extra bonus for me, and also, from the help from my father. From what I’ve calculated, definitely, the money will add up, and I’m extremely excited about it as well!

Though, after reading this, I've gotten really good impressions about Newegg. That's probably going to be my source of purchase for the DVX100b. But, there is still a controversial issue about whether Newegg is an authorized Panasonic dealer. From the posts earlier, a lot of people are saying how everything had worked perfectly, yet, others still post that Newegg isn’t an authorized dealer and so on.

I just want an absolute guarantee that it is an authorized dealer. Or does it turn on and off, and it depends on where that DVX has been through? Sorry for these redundant questions that have been going on, I’m just looking for assurance.

I bought my unit new from Newegg back in September and their service was great. I mailed in the coupon for the book and software from Panasonic and it arrived wtihin a week. Good luck.

Thank you!

This is something I'll be purchasing in a good 7 or 8 months. By any chance, will the price of newegg unfortunately raise? or possibly even drop? Hopefully things can go as planned :). I hope that the service will still be great when i purchase it several months from now.

Newegg has the cam again?!

Newegg has the cam again?!

About a year ago, I saw that Newegg had the cam, but I think it was the A version they had. Glad to see they have it again, and at a very nice pricepoint. While I know they are not a Panny authorized retailer, I do buy thousands of dollars of computer equipment from them annualy, and with very little trouble.

(most recent purchase was 2x Samsung 22" widescreen flat panel monitors, a new video card, a couple of hard drives)

And it's nice to hear that they are selling what appear to be resold official cams...I wish I had the free credit to snag one of these right now before their supply runs out :( Oh well, there's always the Christmas bonus to look forward to, and hopefully with that I can get one sometime in the spring. :love4:

ouch, thank you for your reply! so i'll have to worry about newegg running short on the dvx! hopefully it won't run out within the time i'm trying to raise money! do any of you think newegg will be running out of stock with the dvx100b between now and late august 2008?

one more thing..

and when i do purchase it, is it necessary to get an extended warranty plan?

I can give you an absolute guarantee that they are *not* an authorized dealer.

Doesn't make them a bad place to buy; I've spent thousands of dollars there on all sorts of computer hardware. But they're not an authorized Panasonic broadcast dealer.

got my book, dvd, and software in the mail today. thanks newegg for reselling from an authorized dealer.

again, your mileage may vary with your order so don't be too upset if you can't get the rebate. but i did.
