ok, vision_filmz. let me first apologize on behalf of both myself and c2v for trying to help you, as its quite clear you already have it all figured out. and only want to hear what you want to hear.
what i did read and comprehend in your first post was that youve had your DSLR for "a couple of months" combine that with you presenting three accessories (that just about every new-comer gets drunk on), two of which are clear el-cheapo knockoffs of other designs. i just assumed (possibly incorrectly) that you might not yet have a complete picture of whats out there, how these things work or what your first steps should be.
and as far as the skaterslider thing goes. there are a number of disparate or potentially variable points of contact and there are a lot of things that in my OPINION, could hamper smooth travel. and those things might also make noise. clearly the noise may not bother YOU. but it might bother someone else reading this post. and the nature of a public forum is that others might glean some helpful information even if the OP doesnt.
so really, im at the end of my emotional energy with this discussion. if you disagree with our opinions, thats totally cool. more power to you. get what you want and i truly sincerely hope it works out for the best for you. but you dont need to go making a bunch of half-informed accusations because you dont like our answers... : (

how do we know how these items work if we havent used these EXACT ITEMS? we dont. but from years in the industry using a variety of similar gear we just might have a general idea of how these things work. i've owned an 8' kesslercrane for several years. as well as all the external accessories involved with it. and i have a pretty good idea of the physics behind how they work. the picture of the one you sent doesnt look all that smart from an engineering standpoint...if you have never used them how can you say they are not good?

says whom? ive been there a few times and most of what ive seen looks kind of ridiculous from both a production as well as end result standpoint. but maybe we just have a dramatically different perception of "excellent"CheesyCam is one of the best places on the net for very informative posts and shares excellent budget tools with the community.
i know the post youre referring to and thats completely NOT what i said.Further more I seen a recent post of yours stating that you do not work creatively and are more with restrictions in your line of work
how exactly is it that you have ANY IDEA what kind of movements either of us deploy in whatever kind of work we may or may not do? it seems to me that you read into things what you want. to suit the answers that youve already determined...unless someone is really shooting movies or music videos and using these kind of movements I feel that their opinion really holds no weight.
