New HD Editing System

I am getting ready to get the HVX and a new editing system. I am looking at getting the MacPro Two 3.0GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon (8-core) with 2GB RAM and 2 x ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB. What else should I get? What are some recommendation for displays besides the Apple Cinema HD Display 23" flat panel?

Extra RAM, but not necessarily from Apple. You'll choke 8 cores with just 2GB.
Minimum I would have is 4GB, ie 512 per core, ideally 8GB.
 
I would suggest going with this graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB as well. Pus, go with the 8 gigs of ram you won't be sorry.

Get RAM and get it 3rd party. Apple charges $500 for extra an 2GB while Ramseeker has 4GB for only $100! linky

Get the Samsung 2493HM. 24", 10,000:1 Contrast Ratio, HDMI, 1080p, 5ms Response Time. It should be in stores soon.

This Samsung display look nice. Do you have any tag price ?
