New Flexible LED Panels

The seller I bought mine from contacted me to let me know my light had been lost in transit and they were sending me a replacement. Bummer, but at least they gave me a heads up, rather than me having to ask them where it was.

Weird mine (bluebetter on ebay) gave me a tracking number that didn't work and now offered to resend the item in case it got lost which seems odd considering the wide delivery window isn't over yet. Can't tell if they are being overly cautious to avoid negative feedback or know something they aren't saying.

I had almost the same experience! I got a notice that Canada Post was unable to deliver to my address because it was not a valid address. Odd since I have bought easily a dozen or more items in the past month with deliveries from Canada Post, DHL, UPS, FedEx and Purolator. After responding with the previous info and a stern request for "WTF is this about" they offered to resend the light. I think it BS but will wait and see. The tracking number they gave me for the first one was bogus or incorrect.

Hmm sounds kinda sketchy... Did you all buy from the same seller? I think they are all affiliated with or run by tomtop?

Although maybe that explains why they went right to thinking it might be lost if they know other orders had been lost...

Having worked in retail once upon a time, I'd speculate they're out of stock and trying to hold onto their sales/customers. Sometimes, the inventory will get replenished; sometimes, the back log is too large to get cleared quickly. Seeing the same story being told to different purchasers, I would expect/suspect problems with the production run ... or an unanticipated level of demand - this happens all the time in retail when a hot product at the right price hits the store shelves.

my seller's excuse was manufacturer fault two weeks after they said they posted. so its the same speal. they've all run out of stock and holding on as long as they can.

Yeah sounds like that's it, pretty sketchy for an eBay seller since they have systems for indicating exact stock and they waste customers time by letting them order and not notifying of out of stock for weeks...

I was just told they are resending with express shipping but won't have stock for 5-8days.

I guess as long as it arrives by the original Jan 7th latest delivery date I can't be too bothered. Maybe aliexpress is better with their 20day delivery or refund policy.

I had the same, asked for express shipping, apparently it is now on its way. We will see when it arrives.

by same i mean that the bluebetter seller contacted me that the item is lost in shipping and they will resend one, way before the soonest delivery date.

If someone wants to play a little game with them, ask if they have some other model ready for immediate shipment as a substitute.

Anybody have video or stills up yet? I would love to see some color tests, brightness output comparisons, etc... I'm hoping to get the 30x60 bi-color soon. Probably will order early next week from amazon. Really super curious to see how this compares to wescott, brightcast, and others. I was really close to getting the brightcast but I'm thinking I could get 2-3 of these for the same price--especially since for my use, I'd need two 1x1's anyway. :undecided

UPDATE: I just ordered a 3030A ("Samtian") from amazon.com for $148 with 2-day prime shipping. What the heck, right?

I'll post my observations as soon as I can.

Ugh 1month since I ordered and still no FL3060A from that ebay seller. Sounds like they just lied to their customers and didn't have it in stock and couldn't even hit their super generous delivery window that ends today... pretty frustrating.

Another idea I'm playing around with is trying to figure out if I can add lenses to the 5050 smd lens to make one of these narrow beam...

nyvz,

I've been messaging back and forth with them. Totally frustrating. I'm about to contact ebay to report them for fraud.

Theoretically it's possible; practically, not implementable.

Please expand.

Also I officially requested a refund from the ebay seller. Pretty sketchy practices not contacting buyers and not having the item in stock. He said he shipped the item twice and now he says again that he's waiting for delays from the supplier and it still hasn't been shipped after a month and having passed the very generous delivery window. At least aliexpress says it should arrive in 20days, though it seems their inexpensive listings may have disappeared...

You guys live dangerously. I'm too jaded to order gear from startups, Kickstarters, Chinese Ebay, regular Ebay. So many BS "businesses" out there now who are all hype and little to no delivery of said hype, whether its a killer deal or new, unproven technology. Thank God I didn't send Sphericam $2,500.00 for their vaproware VR camera last year, I was close. No more of that BS, I will only order gear now if it is in stock, from a quality retailer, whether in person in LA or the Internet. I don't need to be first in line anymore and the old saying still holds true, "If it seems like too good of a deal, it probably is."

There's a reason they call it the bleeding edge. Somebody always gets hurt. Sorry to hear of everybody's probs with that eBay supplier. Ugh.
