Now that I can whip the camera around like a madman and get no mud why would I want to put a camera on a tripod and shoot static foliage? Especially in NYC? I am not even going to spend 3 minutes of my time even trying to.
It's not because you want to do that. At least one person here had a story of doing a shoot and there was a very short period where the action in the scene stopped and they got the card speed error.
That's how I found it. I was out shooting wildlife for a short and I paused to grab something off the ground. When I looked up the camera was locked up with the card speed error. I lost all that footage I had just shot. I never got another chance to redo it either.
The point is that this problem doesn't have to be intentional. It'll screw you when you least expect it, especially because it can be very random when all of the conditions are right.
