My day with the AF100...

If that's all you got, it might work.

BTW, what lenses and adapters did you use?
Primarily Leo's set of Zeiss Standard PL lenses, mounted on his Ciecio7 PL adapter. We also set up a Nikon 50mm on a Voigtlander adapter, but I don't think we ended up using that shot, and I also put up the Panasonic Lumix 20mm pancake lens on one shot.

You rang, Chuck? :D

2 minutes to reply? What took so long?

No, seriously, I'm just so appreciative of the move back towards civility on the forum (which of course includes honest, but respectable disagreement, not rooted in personal attacks), that when ugliness rears its head (or could be imminent) over new gear that is proving controversial (which I can't figure out why)...
Let's just say... the fire dept should be ready to squelch the flamethrowers? :violent5:

Any problems with back focus using the Ciecio7 PL adapter? Isn't it possible to use that adapter with the GH2 as well?

I found no problems with the Polish adapter. This was not, however, a full test of the adapter, so I did not take it out of the studio to see if there were infinity problems and I did not get out the tape to see if the footage marks were incorrect.

People have different ways of working and I've rarely seen an AC who did not like to just pull a tape rather than allow the operator to call the focus for marking the wheel, but I prefer to eye focus everything and set the marks that way.

Would I like to have my footage marks on the lens perfect? Absolutely, so I may end up with the Hot Rod adapter.

Good shooting and best regards,

Leo

Backfocus is an issue when zooming a lens. Since we weren't using any zooms, there was no issue. Now, flange focal distance is another question -- and we didn't try any tape measure focusing, so I don't know whether there's an issue or not.

And yes that adapter was originally made for the GH1, so it can be used with the GH2 also.
