At any rate, thanks for the detailed info! Good luck with betrayalfest.
I'm on a Q6600 quad core PC and I have NO problems with stutters. There must be something else on your system causing that problem.
This is all correct. However, the file size limitation of FAT32 does not have to translate into being a recording time limitation -- AVCHD and P2 both use FAT32 and both provide for unlimited recording times, because both systems were designed from the ground up to support file chaining to the next or previous clip.I don't know. Maybe Barry Green knows? But from my understanding FAT32 is used because it's a dual loading format that will load on apple or windows. Versus NTFS which has longer/larger storage space but can only be read by apple pc's but not written to by most apple pcs. So it's more of a universal type standard thing. FAT32 is considered the universal format Apple/Windows. A lot of USB drives are Fat32 but since they are hard drives can be converted to NTFS. So I think it's definitely possible, making it happen, I don't know!![]()
Hey GoodLuck,
I think we're in the same area. I'm in Ft. Worth and have had good luck with Fort Worth Camera. They even had the 50mm 1.8 in stock..
Also, you're wrong about the limited number of lens you can adapt to the camera. In addition to Nikon, you can also adapt Pentax K Mount, Olympus O Mount, Contax/Yashica c/y mount, and M42 Screwmount to name a few. Fotodiox makes adapters for all these.
You want to make sure to get the manual lenses as they'll give you aperture control right on the lens itself. Very handy and very fast. Anyway, I hope this helps!

Hey GoodLuck, by the way, what tripod do you recommend/do you use for the T2i?
Thanks for sharing, Goodluck. I still have to run some tests with mine, RTM and all of that good stuff. I think it's totally worth the $$, especially for someone like me who didn't have an SLR. Just picked up a fairly large $60 Canon camera bag. Better to have more storage space than less.
You should look into Canons Backpack. It's cheap and well built. I just picked one of these up and love it. I will NEVER use a camera bag again.

I've got a Gorillapod SLR-Zoom. It works great with my T2i/17-55/HoodLoupe setup for the type of shots you're describing. Here's also some 'poor man's stabilizer' stuff you can do with it:And, anyone have experience with the Joba Gorillapod SLR-Zoom? Trying to find a solution for hanging the camera from overhead to take pictures of what's directly below. Thoughts?
