Major Raylight Problems....

I've just upgraded to the Full i.e. paid version and its all stopped working big time

When I activate the scan in background it crashes Raylight. in the demo version it also did this to me. Although the scan appears to work in single scan mode there are no links in the Raylight folder, alhough the txt file shows them there. I've gone back to the demo version and it works fine until I import the links into FCP where they NOW show as needing rendering but won't actually render! They used to work before I did the upgrade!

Is this a botched upgrade on the Raylight servers?

Delete all the links and rescan them. Then see if you can select all the text in the diagnostic window (the light purple one) then drag it into the support request window at DVFilm.com, Support, Support Request.

Thanks mvb, have now posted as requested.... i've tried going back to the demo version but nothing is working As I said it all appears OK but no actual links are put into the shared directory even though the dir.txt shows them.

That might be because you have the "Store links with MXF files" option turned on. If so the links are in the same folder as your MXF files.

For Raylight/Mac, links created by the demo cut off the video after 10 sec and do not have audio.

For the Windows demo there is a watermark, but otherwise no limitations.

Cheers... I'm post some workflow ideas in the next day or two!

While I'm logged in I've noticed that all my 720 25p clips need to be rendered in the (FCP) timeline before they will play. In the viewer they display and play correctly. The sequences setting are correct as if I import via P2 log they play correctly. Is this a known issue?
