Magic Lantern Firmware

Using the December 12th update (latest) on a T3i.

With focus peaking active, using the 3x zoom works fine, but returning to 1x causes focus peaking to fail and become a matrix of dots over the whole screen. This occurs both using the DISP+Zoom shortcut, or through the Q menu. Is this a known bug? I can reproduce it easily. It requires a camera on/off cycle to correct.

I simply cannot believe how much ML improves the functionality of the camera. Fantastic stuff. I originally figured I'd use it to get the ISOs that aren't available (multiples of 160) in Canon's FW, but this is robust software. Thanks, a1ex. :)

There was nothing wrong with my MAC until I downloaded Magic Lantern.
Are you sure?

It's just a plain zip file, it was downloaded over 5000 times (latest update)...

returning to 1x causes focus peaking to fail
That's a known bug, but fix is not known...

Focus peaking will fail after zoom in or out of the crop zoom on T3i. Can't get away except turning it off and wait for a few seconds before switching back on... :/

FREAKING AMAZING!!!!! I can't wait to try it out!!!!!!
Yes, this is a WOW but lets wait for the workflow to see how easy (or not) is it to obtain the final result.

Nevertheless, it is a WOW

:dankk2:

Should be more details tomorrow, can't wait. I would like to know how ultimate image sharpness is effected by interpolating every frame with it's neighbour? Perhaps increasing the datarate (QScale) might help there? Potentially, huge news -- big effort, A1ex.

Did you check the audio monitoring settings? It could only be sending audio to the monitor and leaving the video on the internal LCD.
