FEATURE: Magic - A Matt Sconce Film

My pleasure, and again, very gratified that I could be of help! You are also to be commended for taking my probably-not-so-pleasant-to-hear critiques and applying them (to whatever extent that you did so) to a rewrite. Some other, less thick-skinned folks might have just rejected it all out of hand. Been there...many times...

Nope Ted, we are not like that. You are thanked, and will probably be asked in the future for more input.

Matt and I are blocking actors and doing camera set ups for all the shots. We finished the first 7 pages tonight. Magic will LIVE! :kali:

I would be remiss not to offer my warning of shooting this in 3D, not only the cost involved, but the novelty wearing off. It's hard enough making back money on a low budget 2D feature, let alone 3D. This film website already comes off low low budget, and extremely cheesy. Hire someone to work on your website and get something more professional together before you start looking for investors. I tell you this because I care, and I don't think a bunch of congratulations is what you all need, because you can find that all around you. Best of luck, and I hope you consider what I've mentioned.

The website is an information hub for now. When we have money to throw at it, I will not be building it. It will be built by someone who rocks. I build through moonfruit and there are many limitations there versus someone who can write code.

I believe you are absolutely wrong about 3D. We will have a 2D movie at the end of this as well as a 3D movie which is one reason Kerner is interested.

Very interesting concept to make this movie into 3D. Have you thought of getting the movie manufactured on disc once the movies put together? I look forward to seeing further development in this movie.

We are targeting 3D theatrical release then DVD, Blu-ray and VOD release afterwards. We are going to be using 3D like a tool instead of a gimmick. We are not going to go braincrushing deep 3D that hurts eyes and causes headaches. We are going to lean toward the way UP was done in 3D. In scenes that were emotional the 3D was deeper. In bleak sad times, the 3D was shallower. You can roll with emotional depth using 3D, allowing the viewer to experience visually what they are feeling in a new way. Instead of Clash of the Titan's cookie cutter 3D ours will be perfected to give the viewer the perfect experience that will not hurt them and will enhance the story. 3D, used like this, works extremely well for dramatic powerful emotional films like "Magic". Yes it has some cool 3D action parts but 3D shines in the silence.

Appreciate the explanation. UP was an amazing movie, my kids and I loved it. Just reading the synopsis of your movie, I can tell it will be a very emotional experience. I look forward to seeing where you will be placing in the 3D effects. With all the investors you have on the website, I am sure this movie will be moving along quite smoothly. It is great that you have a set plan of the direction in which this movie will go. I know an experience Blu-ray/DVD manufacturing house who I would be glad to refer once you are ready to get this movie on Blu-ray/DVD if you do not have a reference yet.

We have just confirmed STRICKEN lead actor,

DAVID FINE

as our heavy Earl in MAGIC.

David Fine was such a joy to work with in STRICKEN, and is such a work ethic professional, plus has a great look for the role. We are pleased and honored to again work with him. Yep, he is the bad in this one.

David will be coming off the evil guy in the feature GOLDEN, another drama done by KERNER GROUP, this one directed by AVATAR post guru Dean Yurke. I know David will love the fact that he gets to kill people...lol. :kali:

We are still working to block all the action and set all the camera shots. Up to page 11 now. After that we go to storyboarding.
