Just for fun, I say:

December 10th.

Perhaps Barry can arrange with Panasonic to provide a AF-100 to whomever is first the guess the date.

A dealer told me that Panasonic goes by a April-to-April fiscal year. December is a end of quarter for them. With the apparent demand for this camera, shipping it on or around Dec. 15th would make the Panasonic bean counters very happy.
 
Donno why but I remember the december the 10th aswell...could it be that someone somewhere mentioned this day in the begining.
 
I'd say December 14....why, cause it's my BIRTHDAY!!!! hopefully I'll have number 1 sitting on my table, next to the cake, that morning....
 
In Europe the camera has been announced for december 15th in the Germany and for december 16th in all the other countries of EU. 1 or 2 days after in non EU
 
I'm thinking the middle of month too but Barry might be right and if they need a couple of extra weeks to cross some Ts and what not, that's cool with me. There is some accountability here so we know it will be shipping at least.
 
I'm going with the 17th as that is the date my daughter is due. I'll then have the dilemma of which baby to hold first...
