Los Angeles DVX group meeting

Boy that would have been great if we could have that catered dinner, but all the marketing moola fell through...:shocked:

Soon hopefully, we should be getting a simple meeting together though!
 
I brand new to this user group and the100A (I just got the camera yesterday!) I'd love to attend a meeting and learn from all you pros.

Hi Brandon,
You and your camera would be most welcome on the set (ya can leave the super 8 behind though :cheesy: ). But just so you know, I already have a DP for the shoot. He's a pro and teaches classes at a few films schools in NYC. He's the guy who shot Message Universal with me. But this would be an excellent opportunity for you (or anyone else who's new with the camera) to learn first hand on set from him. Touch base with me via PM or email me through my site and we can start chatting about it if you (or anyone) else is interested.

I"m managing another musical group and there's a server dedicated to user's group meetings that's pretty efficient:

manages all the meetings, and the members, does the RSVPS, etc., all automatically.
All we need is a manager...
If a meeting happened in Feb then I missed it, I think.
I'd like to be in on the next one for sure!

I don't feel like reading all 11 pages... did anyone hook up? I live in North Hollywood. I go to EVS on occasion and have met Rush. (I'm such a name dropper)

So did anyone hook up or what? If so, when's the next meeting/gathering?

FYI - If you want to see the DVX on the big screen the film is playing two nights this week in Calabasas at the Method Fest Film Fest - would love to meet anyone coming out to see it and and answer questions after the screening.

I'm in Studio City .. I'll take a Season Pass Please !!!... Rush, great idea... I would think the format could be similar to the LAFCPUG ( L.A. Final Cut Pro ) user group scenario.. One nite a month .. Meeting to last a few hours, or more if we have a Large Band of excited DVX'ers ... Sharing their output and tips ... Hell, Let's Build a BARN !!!!
 
So, is anything organized by anybody, or not...?

If not, I'll take a crack at it, if there's enough interest.

Im there the 2nd to the 8th, I will be staying in Pasedena for most of it. I have a crap load of meetings the first couple days so if we pointed more towards the weekend it would be better for me.
