Los Angeles DVX group meeting

I live on the Westside, but I work in Burbank. I'll snoop around for some possible meeting locations. We're all guys here, right (are there ANY girls on DVXuser.com)? Who's gonna bring the chicks?
 
Would love to join this! Should we start an email list for people who will be attending? Let us know when we have a firm date and location!
 
is there anyone officially taking this on? It appears that some people have talked to each other and some are looking or have offered a location.

I think I read that some guys from EVS might put it together. Maybe the first meeting could be at there store (it is in Glendale not far from Pasadena, Jarred's preference I think).
 
Right here...was in London for a couple of weeks. Just wrapped up on "Deadwood" and have a life again, at least until the next show starts up...

First step for me would be getting contact info (e-mail & location around town) so as to start a database of who's interested, etc...

We were going to do it, but funding fell through for a catered meeting at a hall. Meeting at EVS is impossible due to lack of parking and space... i am always keeping my ears peeled for a sound stage going cheap for an evening... :)
 
I was in the area too, and if the meeting happened I wasn't there. But heck, I bought my dvx and am as happy as hell!

What's the first thing you do when you buy a dvx?
Answer: Accesories!
 
I was there.. during the surf competition. Hanging with my fellow tall dudes and dudettes playin beach volleyball
 
i was in manhattan and hermosa that weekend too... next time just meet at the beach!

I have found a good location for a meeting, in Culver City.

There's a conference-room area w/table/chairs/AV, and because it's a props/fx shop a friend owns, it's also got a big workshop area that could be good for demos, exercises, etc, etc.

Thursday nights?
