I truly Love the look of old Russian Glass ( Hellios , Zinitar, etc. ) I also recently seen some footage of old 50mm 1.4 Takumar (sp?) lens which I love as well .

Now I am looking for two focal lengths , 35mm and 85mm. Are there any known lenses in this focal plain that create looks as the lenses mentioned above? I'm looking for cat eye fished bokeh and lenses that flare a lot.

Since these are for creative purposes, this is the reason.

Thank you in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mir 24 35mm f/2 and jupiter 9 85 f/2 are two great lenses. I have both and love them...
Anyway if you search a little in that thread http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?201760-The-Vintage-Lens-Thread you ll find many videos shot with them and you can judge by yourself if you like them for your purpose or not.

Here's a clip I made with the Jupiter and Mir 24. You might find it useful...

I'm pretty well set on my classic lenses except for the Helios 40 (85mm). In the meantime, I'm using the Volna 3 which is an 80mm 2.8 medium format lens. The look I get from it is amazing and it sells at a great price!
