little dvx100b test footy

looks really nice,

so where you testing the camera with different frame rates?
the first scene with the cat has that interlaced look.
vimeo always does that and I still haven't really fingured that out but what frame rate was the first scene shot at?
the rest looks fine tho.

all shot at 24p.
yeah i know what your sayin, idk why it looks interlaced sometimes

If you are shooting in standard 24p mode (not 24p Advanced), and editing in a 29.97 time line, then you'll have interlacing. The pull down, which the camera adds in order to lay a 24p signal to tape at DV's native 29.97, creates interlaced frames. It won't show on an interlaced display, such as an NTSC CRT set. But it will show up on progressive monitors (such as computer monitors), and will be noticeable where there's greater motion.

The absolute best way to fix this, especially if you want the 24p look, is to shoot 24pA, remove the pull down, and edit at 23.98.

thanks. i use final cut express and how do i make a 24p timeline?
not a noob, just never tried for some reason
