loved the song, loved the look, thought the footage was perfect for the song alot of feeling, better than the original nice one

We had a sound engineer come in to record through a desk

EDIT: If you're asking specifics on what mics and mixer, couldn't tell you without asking our guy. Sound is not my area so all the fine details were left to him.

For what this is, I don't think it could get much better. Great shots, good movement, good choice of aperture, audio sounds fantastic, great lighting and overall tone. Good job dude.

What were you using as a rig? a shoulder mount?

Incredible. If only more people would cover Gaga's music with true artistry, perhaps it would render her obsolete.

Oh, and the filming was fantastic as well. :)

Nice look, though I got pretty tired of the wide angle CU of the singer for the majority of the video. I see Lissie has a number of well made videos on Youtube- did you shoot those as well?

Great looking footage and the recording was excellent. The general look was very good, and though the lens flares maybe were a bit much at times, it didn't bother me much.

My one critique, similar to above, was that I never got a sense of where the three players were in relation to each other or what setting they were in, mainly because everything was a close up with shallow depth of field. It didn't bother me till about 2/3 through the video, but a couple of wider establishing shots/cut aways would have been nice if they were possible. Of course there could be a very good reason for that (limited space and lenses, ugly environment).

Was this shot with one 7D or shot with multiple ones?

The close-up was to keep the focus on her, plus it was meant to add to the intimate feel of the video. We didn't shoot the other ones, no.

The wide showed too much of the room (not great), plus as I said above the idea was to keep it intimate and focus on Lissie. It was one 7D.

I really liked it. Great singer and great video!

Why are there two threads by the way? Was quite confused, because I couldn't see my post.

Sorry, made two threads because I wasn't sure were the best place was to put it.

Nicely done...one piece of criticism is this: lots of time in the main closeup and in other shots the subject either didn't stay in focus or it wasn't clear what the subject was. Shallow DOF is a great tool but shouldn't always be used for its own sake, especially if it means you can't keep focus.
