LED light for GH1

I bought one of these 126 lights and am pleased with the dim-ability, quality/price, etc. All plastic, but...if cared for should last a while. Some kind of case would be nice. Nice little battery life gauge too. Note that with fresh AAA batts, the full range of the battery life LEDs are lit, but with the physically smaller Sony NP-FH70 battery, only 3 out of 4 on the gauge light on a full charge.

Cheers

I've just got one of these (and another one on its way from hong kong) and wondered what battery life is like ? I've got a shoot and we're doing some timelapses so i'm wondering about lights dying half way through takes.

Put batteries in it, turn it on, check the clock, and wait. The answer will be revealed. That's what I did as soon as I got mine. ;)

Comes out tomorrow and only costs 10€. Going to buy one or two.

They all look like exactly the same item so it's just a matter of price and which seller looks more trustworthy.

I am also selling these Pro126 and Pro160 lights. They will be shipped from the US so much faster in delivery time =)

A few things to notice, the shoe is plastic. Also the included warming filter is pretty much useless. But for that price, it's hard to beat =)

Hi,

is the 126 led light generally used for video?

is it bright enough for indoor portrait photo shots? or I still would have to bump
the iso up to 400 or higher?

I understand the issue of the led not being white with greenish tint. I have the small sima led light. now, it's not an issue if you do white balance correction.
is there some reason not too? why is it better to color correct with filter or more expensive light vs. adjusting the white balance?

thanks

The Pro 126 and 160 are both for video use. If you want to use it for still photography, at least get the 160 version for the extra brightness.
