I tried to change my name, hell, it could be EX1Scottie, or HMC150Scottie

I hope to LOVE this camera, cuz if I do, My EX1 is history, i can sell it, and
buy another HMC and pay off what I owe. I paid under $3100 for the HMC,

They are soooo easy to lose. I think I've misplace one already. Good thing they are cheap.

i would make sure you tab those as well. you could always have one of
these on the spot instead of carrying a laptop

Lucky you. I went to buy one three days ago at B&H, they were sold out. Contacted them, they said they'd be back in about 10 days. I decided to wait. Now the prices have jumped $200, and I'm betting the B&H price will reflect that when they get them back them back in stock. Damn!

But, I will say that in Europe and Australia they raised prices and it did indeed hurt sales.
Despite what any of us want to believe we cannot escape the fundamental laws of economics.

Really? That's pretty interesting, though hardly surprising, about the price raises causing a sales drop. Regardless though, it was a bit shocking when I saw B&H was sold out. I checked Willoughby's and they had the same price ($3200). I decided to wait on it a bit, then checked Willoughby's again a couple days later, and the price had jumped to $3400!
Regardless though, while it is annoying, once B&H gets it back in stock I'll be buying it from them or elsewhere, depending on price.

J &R also has it for $3199, but show out of stock. Just make sure you buy it before the rebate expires, even if its $150 more.

Right, hold out for a good price.
It's all about supply and demand.
It's important to remember that demand relative to supply will dictate price.
For what ever reason there are exceptions like the XH-A1 on Amazon now is $3,999.99
When it first came out you could get it on Amazon for only 3,299.99
WTF?
But it is an anomaly.

i also don't understand why the prices of cams in europe had gone up. when the HMC was first released last year, it was about £2700 in UK and $3400 in the US. i am holding out my money believing price will drop this spring. but bloody hell. despite of the reduction of VAT in europe with this kind of purchase, the HMC151 is now being sold at around £2999 in europe while its price had gone down to $3100 in the US. what the hell is happening :huh:
