Shane (and others)...

Might be worth trying to import identical problematic files into FCP 5.1.3. I noticed in the update process that the updater replaced the DVCPRO HD component (which is a QT component). Perhaps (and I say perhaps lest I start an internet rumor that spreads around the globe in nanoseconds) there is an undocumented fix for the P2 problem. Apple never acknowledged the problem formally in 5.1.2

It says on the software update that it does something with P2 import.

I'll test later today.

1st up, I'd like to personally hear from anyone who does the 5.1.3 update and still have FCP claiming files are corrupt that P2 Log can import.

2nd up, here's Apple's Official word on it, not mention of anything related to P2 or DVCPRO-HD. Although I see the update does add to the system a package (reciept) for a DVCPROHDcomponent file. Let's hope that does the trick. Here's Apple's official:

The update document that the auto-update links to says something about P2 import, but it is under the 5.1.2 section.

Hey BenB, I thought you swore off the HVX? Is there a change of heart we should know about, or are you just waiting for something better?

Sorry Ned...same files come up corrupt.

Found out that the camera's firmware is 1.03...gonna update to 2.03 when I get a chance and see what that does.

It'll be a couple days.

I never swore off the HVX.

Just found out that Conduit is broken in 5.1.3, too.
