So i decided to try out my new audio technica shotgun mic with my t2i.. and im getting some mixed feelings aha! Anyways this is my first time trying to shoot some dialogue with the t2i so give me some feedback! This was also trying to copy a scene from "the other guys" aha!

Was framing/shot composition/exposure alright or could it be improved on?

I'm assuming that the mic was mounted on the camera? That is the last and worst place for the mic to be. You need to get it off the camera and as close to the source as possible.

Also, a shotgun mic is not going to perform so well in a room like that. Shotguns just aren't the best choice for interiors, which is where a hypercardioid condenser is the typical choice.

And recording audio straight into the T2i is problematic. The AGC is a killer, and adds tons of noise/hiss, as you now know.
