this is funny.. probably you should think all of us are video shooters.. ehehehehello chaps,
i am a newbie.
listen do not want to disrespect anyone but this is old ground from a film point of view..
film dp's have been here before i have spoken to joe dunton, century, schneider and isco over the years.
now the deal is,do not hold your breath on these companies knocking out new spec generation iscorama lens for 200 dollars.
i have 3 iscos and they sold in the 1980s and 90s for 1200 to 1500 english pounds. isco do not do cheap. if your talking about the dinky century/optex style adaptor that maybe would be 500-600 dollars, they all got sold cheap a couple of years ago.when 4.3 chips stopped being popular.
if your talking about a brand new nikon mounted iscorama lens get real.
min $1200 us unless isco has a stash of old stock, even then min $600 for a 15 year old lens.
check out the film klute some nice flare in it..
cheers

no,just kind of pointing out the obvious financial practicalities about prices for quality german glass.clearly for to long in the film industry prices for anything camera related were silly high,i remember getting an invoice for £2000 pounds for a damaged matte box.
in the old days isco used to used schott glass same as zeiss, what with re-design build, multicoating, mounts and marketing german wages etc it cannot be a cheap product.
for a cheaper product i believe hong kong had an optical company that made some of the optex/century 16.9 anamorphics.i would guess they were being sold to optex for £150.00 each, then sold on for £500.00.
does the image stabilizer work with no connection to the camera?
