Actually, yes, I've heard that too. That if you drag the lastclip and contents together, it takes forever, but if you drag the lastclip by itself and let it copy instantly, and then drag the contents folder over, it's very fast.mico said:Wasn't there some talk about dragging and dropping the last txt. file seperately where people were getting better transfer times?

Perhaps one of you guys with the slow transfers could try that and let us know if it's legit or just internet old wives' tales?

I plug my media drive into the FW800 port, my FS-100 into the FW400 port, my Canon Rebel XT into one USB port, my mouse into the other USB port, with the PCMCIA port open for P2 cards.

5 gigs left on an old 75 gig 7200rpm drive connected to firewire 400 port on a macbook pro 2.33 core2duo
The last 5 gigs left on a drive are definitley not going to be the fastest 5 gigs on the drive from what I have seen, but still your times are reasonable. FW has better sustained through put than USB which is probably why you see slightly lower times here than what I did with USB. P2 store 2.0 would certainly benefit from a FW 800 port like the PCD 20 does.
