HVX to hard drive?

I am trying to figure out a way to live capture straight to my mac pro hard drive or to a pc drive, as apposed to using the p2s. I have read about the ipods but that is still a p2 card dump procedure. Has anyone heard anything from Barry Green on this subject because I can't find it anywhere on the web.
Thanks in advance,

You'd have to use FCP, then use the "Log & Capture" function. Tell it to capture to an external drive and you should be all set.

I don't have an HVX yet, but have been researching workflow.... you would just plug the HVX into the laptap via firewire, and then use a program like DV Rack for live capture. I'm pretty sure that you can plug the camera dirrectly to an external HDD as well (no laptop), but I don't know the details.

David, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe HD Monitor Pro doesn't support all of the HVX recording modes yet, and doesn't support 720P at all?

You are correct.

HDMP does not provide support for 720p modes.

Scopebox does including the equivalent of pNative recording.

Yeah but...
