HVX scene file editor program

Yeah and it will enable you to save your own "look"-sets as well as let you share those online with others (and download theirs ofcourse) :)

Thanks for the heads up Tony. I will be looking forward to playing with it and using it once it has been finished!

Hey Tony! Great job on this once again. How are things coming along? I would love to test out the Scene File Editor. :)

Sure - send me some scene files from the japanese model if you can and I'll look into that too.

Time to reserect this thread for Tony to see if has managed to spend any time in getting this great little idea up and running?

Still working on it - but there's progress. I just bought an HVX so now I can test and debug without having to borrow one from a friend. That'll speed up development. It's harder to make than I initially though it was as it has a lot of interchanging settings (some settings change as others are changed, which makes it a bit complex). And the fact that I have been renovating my kitchen since before christmas has been somewhat of a development-killer too. Give me another week or two and I'll have it done :)

wow, hail king tony, thanks for even putting time into a program that'd be so valuable, much less finishing it so quick.

I think everyone on this forum appreciates the time and effort put into a project like this, and all for little reward other than the satisfaction it brings everyone.
Looking forward to playing with the finished product!

No one in Copenhagen who is able to help Tony with the kitchen...??

Its a shame...!

haha..good luck on this tony, rally looking forward, if you would release the update of P2 genie in the 1st quarter of this year like you intended once, would be great too...!
So someone help this guy with the kitchen..dont you see he is aiming for it since christmas..!!

Still here :) But I need to do a LOT of testing before I can send it out to anyone. The UI is pretty much done and seem to read scene files just fine. Now I just need to make it save also. Anyone care to beta-test? E-mail me at tony at p2genie dot com. I'll have a beta ready within a week.

Just a quick update. I'm still waiting for feedback from Panasonic with regards to the value of the Syncro Scan settings in the scene files. If I don't hear from them within a couple of days then I'll have to run through all the possible settings and see if I can figure out what kind of system they're using to store this value.

Once available, these items can be saved in Windows as a text file to a SD and then loaded?

If so, I would be happy to test this in Parallels running Windows XP on a MacPro.
