HVX 200 Pictures

What new things can anyone see from these pictures that might suggest new/better functionalities? ...any ideas?

Where are the camera scientists to examine this bugger?
 
I love how no matter what we're given, 24P, 1080P, P2 recording, we will always find something to ***** about.

Don't quite understand what you mean, but a lot of cameras can capture real 24P. All of them do it electronically as there are no moving parts in the camera, but the capture rate of the electronic shutter is 24.

How they record that 24 frame in the tape systems differs, but that really doesn't matter.
It would seem that the HVX is the first camera (from others than sony) that RECORDS 24P without padding frames or pulldown.
 
13 to 1 zoom. Should help a bit in trying to wangle some shallow DOF with this thing. Not that nude chicks need shallow DOF, but...

That blueish grey looks very ARRI like, doesn't it

It would be nice to see it besides a DV cassette or the DVX100 for size reference.
 
If this looks as good as the DVX but with 1080P I would throw twenty more pounds on her and still be happy.
 
I hate to break it to Panasonic....but you'd be suprised how many people WON'T buy this camera if it remains to be that ugly.

I will buy it cause I need HD and the pictures matter the most. But some will take one look and go: OMFG....Hell no. Where can I get a JVC HD100!!

Just my opinion. I'm on board either way. Well, that and the fact that this is obviously a *plastic* mockup for show only. I'd go on record *again* and bet my *jingle bells* that the final product will be more streamlined and appealing to the eyes.

Wasn't bitching Isacc; just making an observation.

But I think I just read it's removable? (The Mic. Any confirmation?
 
I wish they would make it look like the Hunchback of Notre Dame so there would be a few thousand less people lined up to buy it.
