wicked.

wicked.

I really liked...followed by questions:

The "say no to hate" rack focus...what lens?
In general what would you say the split in terms of primes vs. zooms was used over the whole project?
The "light shafts in bar/lounge"...effect added in post?
There's a shot of a guy running with gun in hand turning a corner directly backlit by the flared out sun. This is awesome, the camera held light to dark very well.

The only problem I had, and I'm trying to account for the web compression, is in the grain in the shadows of the REALLY DARK shots (jail, some home interiors). From this clip, and from others I've seen, I might ensure shooting detail in the blacks on set (minimizing potential "gain grain") and then bring the level down in post.

Overall the cinematography was excellent. It seems that this forum spends a lot of energy praising the camera and technology (...as well it should), but let's not forget the age old crafts being practiced in the process. Hats off to the D.P.

Wow! Exceptional looking work Vincent.

This is definitely some of the best HVX stuff I've seen.

I really enjoyed this teaser, and the production values you brough to it. I too really want to know more about your equipment. I know you had 1200 HMI's, what other lights did you use? What about onset monitoring? And did you use a waveform/vectorscope? And finally, what Dolly system?

Oh, ya, one more question if you don't mind....was that a stickypod for the car mount or something else?

wow. Really impressive. :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG) :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG) :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

How big was your lighting crew?

Niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! I cant wait to get my M2!!
Seemed like a big production.. what was your budget?

The price tag of the m2 sweetens the deal.

I'm sure that if we end up with the HVX, we'll be purchasing one.

Great footage, dude. GAHD. I suck for not having anything to shoot.

Absolutely amazing. If I didn't own an HVX myself, I would swear you were lying when you say this was shot on one. I hope that I can learn to shoot as well as you someday. Excellent job.

cant download for some reason, unless of course i have'nt had enough coffee and am not seeing something.....i'll try again

i don't own an hvx and won't for at another decade :( , but i have to say that when i saw this i really did think it was film. i had to go back and check his first post.

the lighting and production design were so dam professional. it looked like high budget work. the shot of the women in the red dress helped to make me appreciate it even more.

i really do hope to see more very very soon.

the "no Hate" Rack was done on a 70-300mm Zoom F/5.6.

95% of the teaser is straight from camera

I only color corrected four shots, the one sun set shot and the Bottle in foreground. and the Jail shot and last 3 interior shots I brought up the Setup 15

the shafts of light are done with Lighting in the second shot done with 4x4 Mirror boards.

I hate the sticky pod Car mounts there more like Shaky pods.. we had a Pro Hood mount and used Vacuum grips for safety or to hold other gear down.

on the wide angle casing in front of the cop.I was disappointed with the Vertical Banding that came from the Sun Flare I was getting. probably because of the Century wide angle x.6 that I was using.
