C200: How much runtime can you get on internal 12-bit 4K RAW per 128gb card?

I read a review of the camera that talked about an MSATA you could mount to the camera and run through the CFAST 2.0 slot. Anyone familiar with this and the reliability of such a method vs Cfast 2.0 cards?

With the price of cards dropping so much, shooting to drives seems unnecessary for most users now, unless changing cards every 68 minutes is a hindrance to your shoot?
You lose your splashproof, dustproof ability the door gives you, you have another thing hanging off of your camera, extra cable to deal with, etc. Doing this made more sense when CFast cards were expensive.
You can still do it, of course, and the drives hold a lot of data, but most C200 users use cards.

The SolidPod is the external SSD recorder of choice for the C200.

But I agree with the others on this thread that with the low price of CFast cards these days, it's a better and safer idea to just record internally.

Makes sense, I would assume shooting to cards is more stable than SSD with door open. I have had 2 card failures in 5 years with the c300 + c300mk2 on the SanDisks.

With the 512gb SanDisks being $700/ea, are the other brands just as reliable? I shoot to both slots on the c300mk2, so shooting to one slot is a little unsettling given I've had cards go down and not recover.

Anglebird 1TB card?

All I can offer is anectdotal evidence but we have shot our entire Docu Series over the past year and half on the C200 using the EgoDisk cards, our total material shot so far is about 100TB and not a single issue with the cards. The C200 did give us some issues, one was a defective fan (Canon replaced it) and the other was me allowing it to be exposed to too much spray when shooting off the front of 18' Boston Whalers in rough seas without a housing (totally my fault and not the fault of the camera), I had to pay to repair the LCD screen, but it's been flawless for over a year after the repair. But through all of that, sun, spray, waves, the EgoDisk cards have been bulletproof, not a shot missed, glitch or dropped frame.

At the time we began, to buy the required amount of "Approved" Sandisk cards needed would have cost me about $8k, more than I paid for the camera itself. Instead I spent about $2k for the EgoDisks and I don't regret it.

I'll 2nd the vote of confidence on EgoDisk cards. Been using them exclusively for over a year and a half now with zero problems
