How do you guys make income with your 7ds and gear?

Not sure what you're level of experience is, but with my XH A1 and the letus elite, i can obtain a MUCH MUCH sharper image with little to no aliasing or moire than when i shoot with the 7D. But that's one of the tradeoffs.
 
this may come as a surprise I use it to take pictures...


every now and then some B-roll and headshots for my hmc 150

And in response to your assertion re: experience:
Well, using a letus ultimate and ex1 with well collimated zeiss speeds on a national commercial spot (not my choice of cameras but I do what I can) resulted in an image that I would consider utter shite next to my 7D. Thankfully the client liked it.

If you can prove to me that a camera shooting off of what is essentially a softening filter is _sharper_ than a large sensor hdslr I'm happy to believe you.

DOF adapters are a joke to me in this day and age.
 
I take film footage and pictures of celebrities cheating on their partners then use the evidence as blackmail.

Ive paid for the 7d tens times over already.....

I bought a couple of nice macro lenses and have been selling pictures of my nostrils to medical journals.

Real answer:

Mostly is a personal tool but have used it quite a bit for interview footage for a part time job I have when I want a nicer look and shallower depth of field than their semi-manual Sony Handycam can give.
 
Just shoot ski stuff for the moment and make absolutely nothing doing it but a slap on the back and some e-karma. But i hear, err, the adult film business has some good money
 
Weddings and Corporate shoots. In fact I think the 550D will make me MORE money than my previous camera so it's a good investment.
