doh!! no no no! In fact maybe it's ME that's the dummy. I do not know offhand what those markings mean. 'A' in the Box as apposed to PSE on mine. Maybe that is something I am just supposed to know that clearly, i do not.You calling me a dummy??

The one we have here marked as 5800 mah tested less then 5400mah, I wonder if Panasonic realized that, and changing their labeling to reflect the real number. That's odd, it is supposed to be 5800. Where did you buy it?
Yes, you can charge these batteries with the supplied charger. They just stick out a little bit.

So you bought it from Spec-Comm?

Thanks SuperFresa66, I thought it was something like that.
That would actually make a good bit of sense. This is, according to the sales rep at Spec-comm, a battery that they had just received from Panasonic the day before i placed my order. It is possible that it is a new thing.
I am going to call Spec-comm today to ask a few questions, but beyond that, who would I even ask to find out about this. It's just a difference in mAh though, so I would guess it's safe to use in the interim. Thoughts?
The 5400mAh are newer.Any update for this 5400/5800 thing in 2010? I just bought two VW-VBG6 batteries and they are marked 5400mah. I don't really care but are the 5400's newer or older than the 5800's?
