This is my first entry into a fest... I'm shooting with an HMC150.

Hide N Seek is a simple story of a boy pestering his mom to play a game of hide and seek. But when the boy proves too hard to find mom finds a way to end the game once and for all!

Screens to follow soon. It's all in the can.

A new entry from a new member. Good stuff.

Heres the darkhorse - the unknown newcomer strikes and takes it all.

With a name from a David Eddings book.. he might stand a chance. I'm keepin gan eye on you mister!

Oh and welcome to the fest. Tell us a little more about your project and share some photos, screenshots... tell us more and get us excited about seeing this movie.

Guess you don't talk too much. How was your experience making this movie?

I'm new to DVXuser. My dad is Kurtmo, though, so I get to watch him do this all the time. Back to your question, though. I had a good time making this movie and I can't wait to have some feedback. This was really my first time making a movie like this, so I know it has a few flaws. I'm happy with the way it turned out, though.

Do you get to work with your dad on the movies? That would be really neat.

My son and I have worked together on a number of movies.

Good to see that you've made the effort and can't wait to see what you produced! :)

Ok the jumping in the 3cm tree was pretty cool but KILLING HER OWN SON??? What's wrong with you?? Come on. Sorry but automatic 1/10

Hey mate. Wanted to jump in here and give you some comments.

I think I can see what you were trying to do with this, kind of a twilight zoney thing going on where a boy has stumbled across a little trick only he can do, but his mother puts an end to it all.

Its like you were looking at all the pieces of the puzzle and seeing what fits and what doesnt. Keep going!

Damn: Noel beat me to it. And I thought he was trailing me.

Anyway, interesting and quirky film there. Quite an odd kid, but I know kids just like him. And the poor mom just humoring him like that. Pity she got jealous of his ability... or just wanted some peace and quiet... but at what horrible price. Seriously? A chainsaw?

You looked like you had fun and as your first outing you did quite a good job. Keep it up and keep thinking outside of the box in your story telling. Keep that up, keep improving your technique and you'll go a long, long way.

You can now count yourself as one of us: a filmmaker.

Very solid first film. Thoughtful camera work, nice continuity, nice simple story. Can't do too complex of a story in 6 minutes and do it justice. A critique on the story, if I may? I would have liked to see the son make a few different attempts to engage his mother in a game before she gave in, really get her exasperated with the whole thing. Then, your ending seems a bit more justified. Plus, his victory is more satisfying if he doesn't get his way the first time. I liked the ending, by the way. I mean, in this universe, a kid can disappear behind a tree. A worn out Mom who just wants to read her magazine can trap him there by cutting it down. I didn't see how it was killing him - no blood or screaming. Just kept him out of the way for a while. A bit twisted? Maybe, but the KID DISAPPEARED BEHIND A 3 INCH TREE. We've been set up for a bit of surrealism.

Hope you make a go at it for a future fest - or even just another film. Congrats on getting your first film done!

I like your sense of black humour and I laughed at the end, which came so unexpected. Nice work, but it was rather too much a little sketch.
