HF G30 Remote Control Terminal 2.5mm stereo mini jack => availabler or not ??

hello ... please excuse my "fractal" english... it is not me native language....

the facts, the I can find:

http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consu...nsumer_camcorders/vixia_hf_g30#Specifications
in the above hf_g30#Specifications
=> is nothing listed about => Remote Control Terminal 2.5mm stereo mini jack (input only)

http://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/6/0300011386/01/hfg30-im-n-en.pdf
in the above hf_g30 manual on page 16 is the picture with the text
"Remote terminal
for connecting comercially available remote controllers"

in the hf_g30 manual on page 183 under "specifications" ist listed:
=>Remote Control Terminal 2.5mm stereo mini jack (input only)

http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consu...s/professional_camcorders/xa20#Specifications
in the above xa20 specificatiobs is listed
=> Remote Control Terminal 2.5mm stereo mini jack (input only)

in the xa20 manual is the same picture as in the hf_g30 manual
in the xa20 manual on page 181 is the same under "specifications" listed, as in the hf_g30 manual
=> Remote Control Terminal 2.5mm stereo mini jack

german Canon support tells in a first e-mail about the Remote Control Terminal question:
it is not available for the hf_g30 ... he is aconsumer-cam ... only 20 / 25 have this feature
as documentary evidence he give us the 3 links to the 3 specifikations list

german Canon support tells in a second e-mail, behind confronted with his own manual
some unclear statements ... like mabye ... possibly.... etc.

therefore my question, gives here a "connection" to Canon, ora know about the hf_g30
what is true, and where is the "mistake"

a) is the hf_g30 manual fault ..... to many pictures and text copy and paste from the XA20_XA25 manuals
b) is the official Canon specifications list form the hf_g30 fault??

if it is b) ... thats funny, a lot of serios reviews from the new Serie hf_g30 / XA20 / XA25
have the missing Remote-Control accurately described as DIFFERENCE between consumer cam hf_g30
and the higher prosumer cams XA20 / XA25

friendly asked greetings from vienna..... Hans

I don't know if anybody will have an answer until the cameras are released or at least reviewed. Should be soon though.

Zer Gut! Meine Deutsch ist schlecht :) My guess is the GH-30 will have a LANC control. They are pretty standard these days. To me though, the big question is if the servo motors will be nice and smooth, and how they will compare with the XA-20. I will be surprised if the GH-30 is "exactly" the same camera as the XA-20 just without XLR audio. They often make the consumer - pro divide with features as well as price.

That really was not true of the earlier G10 and XA10. They were almost identical.

Only other differences that I can see is that the G10 cannot record LCPM audio, and it has no Infrared Recording option. The XA/20/25 both have those additional features.

In the full review, slashcam includes two 12 lux shots: the first with auto WB and auto shutter (set at 1/50), and the second with manual WB and manual 1/25 shutter. Only the first shot is used for the comparator, but both frames are available in the full review. As expected, the second frame is significantly better than the first. So the answer to the poor G30 low light performance is that the Canon G30 full auto mode picked 1/50 shutter versus the other cameras whose full auto mode picked 1/25 shutter.
