Help SIMILO get finished

People are always trying to divine the future - but there are no sure-fire ways of doing so. People plan and intend to do this and that, but unfortunately, life happens, and plans fall apart. Basically, the future is unknowable. But sometimes you get lucky and can make a prediction that's accurate. Just as in the case of this film. I called a psychic hot line and for a mere $2.99 I got the answer to the question of when this film will be completed. The answer had great precision. It will be released on the same day as the Birger Adapter :)!

But all kidding aside - I'm sure it's killing mcgregor... I mean, it's not like he likes the delays... so I'd cut the guy some slack. However much everyone is suffering waiting on the completion of this short, I'm sure he's suffering 1000x more :(

And we also got the files back from the lab. Now I have to clean the final DPXs, frame by frame. I think it will only take me 8-10 hours. XDDD

Good morning everyone!
We're finally officially launching the Similo website together with the teaser trailer!

You can check it out at www.blackmilk.eu
We've also put together some BTS and concept art for people to enjoy, don't miss it.
We plan on releasing the short film by the end of the month, only for bakers and film festivals for now.
This has been a very long process and I'm very excited we're finally over.
If you like the trailer and you think it's worth sharing it, we'll be of course very happy about it.
Thank you for your support!

WooHoo! Looks great guys and as a backer, can't wait to see it. It's been a long road.
Now all I have to do is learn Spanish!

I remember enjoying the original Similo short from several years back. The new incarnation looks like a great evolution from the smaller scale original version.

This just looks like a darn good sci-fi flick with some interesting environmental themes and character driven story. Thoughtful and not just PEW PEW 'SPLOSIONS!!!! like we seem to mostly get from Hollywood sci-fi flicks nowadays. Also, the colonization of the Arctic or Antarctic regions is a concept that is getting some play in more recent sci-fi literature. It's something I could see films exploring at some point, so perhaps Similo is a bit ahead of the curve on that subject.

Did you use (or perhaps were inspired by) some Santiago Calatrava architecture? I've always wanted to use the Milwaukee Art Museum for a sci-fi backdrop, which looks similar to some of the architecture in the Similo trailer.

"Global warming" so you live in the snow in Antartica? What? Couldn't suspend my disbelief after that. Looks good though. Congrats on getting it funded and finished.

Well worth the wait. Excellent job guys, glad my donation helped to get it done.
I can see this doing great in festivals and I'd love to see the feature version!

...and edited in Vegas no less.
