Help SIMILO get finished

Good luck with the project! I didn't catch the small short when it came out years ago but after seeing it today I want to see more.
 
Thanks guys for all your support. We are preparing a VIDEO update saying hi and showing some behind the scenes. It will be ready by the end of the week. I hope we can make our goal of 25K, but we only have 12 more days to go.

The goal is set at Kickstarter for 11,750.... which has been reached...which should mean the project is fully funded.

I was asking if there's another funding I'm missing...cause I REALLY want to see this film finished!:thumbsup:
 
I can't remember where but I read that they need around 25k to finish postproduction but they thought it was too much to ask as they didn't expect that big of a success so they only asked for 11.750. That is what I think I read.

Man I remember when Similo first hit the web, back when most people hadn't even heard of 35mm adapters... it blew everyone's mind and it still does! I had no idea this was meant to be a longer film. I just made a small donation even though you guys hit your minimum target. Keep up the amazing work. Can't wait to see the finished result!

Glad you guys made your minimum goal - hopefully you'll pick up a bit more in the couple days remaining. I'm a bit tapped out right now heading into tax time, but I chipped in a few bucks. Kickstarter is really one of the ways forward for creatives.

I'm curious: why did you choose to do this as a longer short, and not as a feature?
 
Well, it was always planned as a 20 minute short. Then we did that quick teaser for dvxuser, but that was only the appetizer.

I'm just seeing this post. Congrats on making your Kickstarter goal.

How did you get involved with that site? It looks like you can't just sign up and start a pledge drive yet.

Also, what are your plans for Similo once it is done?
 
I've seen some stuff recently-ISH. The trick is to go and visit the guy - chances are it'll be on his screen because he's constantly working on pieces of it.

Looking awesome, coming along nicely. Can't say any more. Hahahahaaaaa.

Methinks Mac should have added that as another Kickstarter level:
"For a $250 donation, I will show you some Similo behind-the-scenes on my computer, then we'll go and grab a burger and chat briefly about the quality of the burger. And maybe Similo."

When he gets back in town (he's currently attached to an atmospheric probe shooting some pics of the earth) I'll give another non-informational update.
