Dynamic range looks very contrasty in this example video. I think GH5 can do better with proper settings. Iso test in the end of video starts at iso100!

h.265 does allow for dithering as an optional part of the encode to reduce banding. It can also be introduced during decoding. Remember, h.265 is 8-bit.

Not sure I would go that far yet. Sometimes internal GH4 V-log clips would look fine. It may be improved but it is too early to say it is 100% fixed.

Agreed. It looks basically the same. Some shots simply didn't emphasize the weakness, and others caused the encoding errors to jump out at ya.
