GH4 GH4 firmware 2.0 released

Were you able to download firmware updates for you 12-35 and 35-100 lumix lenses? I only get exe files which are useless on my mac.

Yes, when I use the Panasonic Japan link I posted previously I can download the Mac ZIP file which contains a .LIN file to update Lumix lenses.

I did not see updates for 12-35.... Mine says VER 1.2, and the online one from last year is 1.2

YMMV

My GH3 indicates that my body firmware is 1.2 and the lens firmware is 1.0 for both the 12-35 and 35-100. I haven't been able to update the 12-35 to 1.2 or the 35-100 to 1.1--
The downloaded .lin files transferred to a SD card from Panasonic aren't updating the lens firmware. I've contacted Panasonic but they haven't been much help so far. Thanks for responding.

on 2.0.... don't think I saw C4k 23.976 fps option? wasn't that promised somehwere?

I'm also confused on this (see page 2). My theory: The language was from the Japanese division and just said "4K". Not UHD or C4K. I'm betting that the Japanese don't call it UHD and were just adding 4k to the mp4 recording option (I thought it was there already tbh).

yeah, I thought that was already there as well. maybe not. oh well, not a deal breaker on any level for me. just a curiosity

The photo mode is cool and all, but what I love is that the bitrates are higher.:2vrolijk_08:
Recording 96 MB per second 4K is awesome.

I'm a little confused about 4k photo. Except for allowing the user to change the aspect ratio (good for cinescope) and the loop feature what I it good for?

4K photo mode sounds worthless for shooting 2x anamorphic. only 25p and 30p available, no monitoring thru hdmi. too bad.

Hey, bitrates are higher! Going through my old clips, Quicktime Inspector shows them mostly around 75-80, now they are mostly around 97! My card is still holding up.

Is there any word on Panasonic making these aspect ratio options at 24p? I'd like to be able to use these on upcoming projects with cinema/festival release workflow in mind.
on that note, how tricky is it to conform 25p to 24p for festivals etc.?
