Both my GH4s are already updated. Running camera test on them tomorrow against an Amira, & F5 for motion, plus the D800 & 5D3 for stills.

Good point. Maybe zero means truly zero and noise reduction is applied only when you chose from +1 to +5. But then, what happens when you chose below? Noise is artificially added? They could have changed the way noise reduction works, so that might be worth testing, too.
I shot a before and after 4K UHD 30p at 800 iso. I can't see a difference on my 27" 2.5k monitor. Firmware v1.0 showed 79mbps. Firmware v2.0 showed 93mbps. There surely isn't any more noise.

Pete
I've been shooting on U1 Class 10 Sandisk 95MB/s Extreme Pro 32 gig cards and haven't seen an issue with it.I wonder if this will affect which cards work reliably. I have been getting away with uhs1 95mbps cards in uhd. If the bitrate is higher now I might need uhs3...

any word when the US page will have the update?
Download the zip. Double click it and get a .exe file? I'm on a Mac and assume I need to have a .bin file?
I have 2 GH4s so will definitely do a side-by-side test before upgrading both.
Any hints on reproducing the possible noise issue, exactly? What picture settings were you in?
Very cool we have new aspect ratios! Yaay!

Just upgraded one of my gh4 and compared the speed between two (menu wise and such), they are the same, there is also no difference on lag when go to an external monitor, also, the noise is the same. I used the same camera doing a before/After with the same lens and same iso...
FINALLY!
When using 4k photo mode, at NR -5 definitely no noise reduction is applied, no more strange motion blur at ISO800 and above!
The resulting video looks much more like raw video, less processed.
