Thanks, dcloud. I know a lot of us, including me of course, are extremely excited about AF100, but when the time comes, I know I will be looking at GH2. And use the money saved from going with GH2 over AF100 to replace my two old water heaters.
I'd take cold showers for a few months if it meant I could have an AF100.
Ha ha ha. Yes I would too, but my wife certainly would not!! I would gladly choose a happy wife + GH2 over an angry wife + AF100.
Smart man!
I don't have a GH1, but if I wanted to get a DSLR type camera immediately, it would be a GH1. Among the HD DSLR cams, it has the best video capabilities, which is what I would be looking for, such as longer recording time and auto-focus. I considered the Canon T2I until I read it has the same 12 minute recording time limit of the 5D and 7D. I don't think it would be crazy to get a GH1 now. When it became available in mid-2009, it was at least $1500 and now it is roughly $1250. If I am not mistaken, the GH1 did not become available for at least six months after it was announced. Since there hasn't been a successor to the GH1 announced yet, it doesn't seem likely it would be this year, but you never know.Would I be crazy to buy the GH1 right now? These rumors are killing me. I'd hate to pull the trigger, only to see the GH2 released right away and the price of the GH1 drop.
And yes, I know you can't wait for the next thing because there's always something new around the corner. I'm just curious what you all think.

Any news about GH2? When is next big elctronic show that GH2 could be published? I have to say that the new hacked firmware that tester13 is doing is making GH1 much much more interesting. Should I buy GH1 tomorrow, or wait a little bit more?
I'm sure that Panasonic is going to put a bullet-proof lock on the firmware for the GH2 with all that is going on with the GH1 firmware hack.
